The history of jeans

Jeans were originally designed for cowboys and miners in the American West during the late 19th century due to their durability. The first pair of jeans was patented by Levi Strauss and Jacob Davis in 1873. They were made out of sturdy denim fabric with copper rivets at the stress points to provide extra durability. These features made jeans perfect for the tough work of miners and cowboys. Over time, jeans became popular among other social classes and eventually became a staple of casual fashion worldwide.
